What Is 5-Alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin(CAS: 56786-63-1)?

Also known as 5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin or 5a hydroxy Laxogenin, Laxogenin is a plant compound and the best known member of a group of compounds collectively referred to as brassinosteroids, which also includes mustard to name just one. 5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin is a sapogenin, a sterol constituent of the non-sugar portion of a saponin, isolated from the plant Smilax Sieboldii, which is slightly similar to asparagus. The compound is a spirostanic analogue of the brassinosteroid, meaning that it’s in a group of plant-based sterols found in small quantities in plants and foods such as pollen, seeds, and leaves.

5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin was shown to possess an anabolic/androgenic ratio similar to one of the most efficient anabolic substances, Anavar, yet without the side effects of liver toxicity or likelihood of testing positive for banned substances.

Interest in the compound garners interest because of it’s growth-promoting activity in plants. However, absorption and bioavailability have held it back from reaching anything near Anavar-like results.

Benefits of 5-Alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin

Suppose you’re not interested in the inner workings of 5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin, and couldn’t care less about its similarity to Anavar. You’re just interested in what it can offer you. So, here’s a list of the purported benefits attributed to 5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin usage:

♦ Increased protein synthesis and lean mass

♦ Decreased stress

♦ Enhanced recovery

♦ Greater strength & power

♦ Regulates cortisol levels

♦ Analgesic (relieves pain)

♦ Improves blood sugar regulation

♦ Reduces LDL “bad” cholesterol

♦ Improves thyroid function

♦ Limits protein breakdown

♦ Combats inflammation

How Does 5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin Work?

5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin is often compared to oxandrolone since it is believed to have a similar anabolic/androgenic ratio. You may know oxandrolone by its trade name, Anavar.

Oxandrolone reduces Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG) hormones, which promote higher levels of free testosterone and increases nitrogen retention that will leads to anabolism. Oxandrolone has been shown to directly promote lipolysis by binding to androgen receptor, reducing thyroid-binding globulin and enhanced utilization of triiodothyronine (T3). It also increases red blood cell count resulting in an increase in muscular endurance.

To be clear 5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin is not the same as oxandrolone: 5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin is plant-based sterol while oxandrolone is chemically synthesized. Further study is needed on 5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin to validate the full effect in the human body, but the extreme success with Anavar may equate to moderate success with 5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin.

More Research On 5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin

Alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin is a naturally occurring plant-based steroidal sapogenin found in Smilax sieboldii – a plant related to asparagus that is native to China and Japan.  It belongs to a class of plant hormones called brassinosteroids, which have a similar structure to animal steroid hormones. As opposed to human steroids, 5-Alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin will not be converted to the more powerful male sex hormones (testosterone and dihydrotestosterone) in the body, nor does it run the risk of raising estrogen or causing unwanted effects like sex hormone imbalances or liver and kidney damage.

FAQ on 5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin Powder

(1)How Does 5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin pwork for bodybuilding?

5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin helps increase protein synthesis by over 200% which allows the user to accelerate muscle growth and recovery . It Provides cortisol support, thus allowing your body to recover fast and reduces muscle breakdown (muscle wasting). Athletes claim to have seen strength increases in 3-5 days, and muscle mass increases in 3-4 weeks. Does not alter the users natural hormonal balance (does not affect testosterone levels and does not convert into estrogen or cause the body’s natural estrogen to increase). Does not show up on narcotic or anabolic drug screens or drug tests (can be used by Athletes in NCAA and other major league sports).

(2)How long can 5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin powder be used for?

Since it won’t affect your hormone levels, there is no real need to restrict 5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin powder use to a short period of time. It is not like testosterone boosters, to which the body eventually adapts by reducing its own natural test levels in response. We often see people using laxogenin supplements for 3-4 months at a time and experiencing excellent progress throughout that period, regardless of whether their goal is to build muscle, increase performance or reduce body fat.

(3)Who can use 5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin powder?

Given the fact that 5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin is not a prohormone and does not affect your HPTA (hypothalamic-pituitary-testicular axis), it can be used by virtually anyone including women. Because 5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin enhances muscle mass and recovery by increasing protein synthesis and reducing protein breakdown, it is highly beneficial for anyone who wants to improve their physique.

(4)Do I need cycle support when I use 5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin?

5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin does not require a cycle support as it is not liver toxic and does not cause the user’s blood pressure to fluctuate.

(5)What can I stack 5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin with?

5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin can virtually be stacked with anything! Such as PCTs, Test boosters,Fat burners, Creatine…ect.

(6)Do I need an estrogen blocker when using 5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin?

The use of an estrogen blocker will not be necessary as 5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin does not convert into estrogen, nor will it cause your body to upregulate its own estrogen production. Thus, completely eliminating the need for an estrogen blocker. You will only require an estrogen blocker if you choose to stack 5-alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin with other anabolic supplements whom have effects on the body’s natural hormonal balance (i.e. test boosters, prohormones, etc).

Raw 5-Alpha-Hydroxy-Laxogenin Powder Testing Report-HNMR

What is HNMR and What does HNMR spectrum tell you?
H Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (INMR)spectroscopy is an analytical chemistry technique used in quality control
and research for determining the content and purity of a sample as well as its molecular structure. For
example, NMR can quantitatively analyze mixtures containing known compounds. For unknown compounds, NMR
can(either be used to match against spectral libraries or to infer the basic structure directly. Once the
basic structure is known, NMR can be used to determine molecular conformation in solution as well as
studying physical properties at the molecular level such as conformational exchange, phase changes,
solubility, and diffusion.
